Typically, the best blue-chip stocks are companies maintaining immense market capitalization levels, strong balance sheets, and a solid and reliable history.
They may not be exciting to invest in, but they are reliable investment vehicles for any portfolio.
So, as you head into 2021 when market analysts say that growth is slowing, the best investment securities to add to your portfolio are the following:
- Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)
- Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B)
- Apple Inc (AAPL)
- Exxon Mobil (XOM)
- Walmart (WMT)
What makes these blue-chip stocks attractive, too, is that most of them pay quarterly dividends.
You can buy shares of these companies on the brokerage of your choice, such as Robinhood, TD Ameritrade, E-Trade, and Wealthsimple (if you're in Canada).
