The best way to start investing in the stock market is by learning the basics of investing in the markets. Learn as much as you can about the markets, including the various strategies you can use to profit from the markets.
You can open an investing account once you have identified an investing style or strategy that you would like to try. You must open your account with a licensed broker, which will give you access to the stock market.
We advise new investors to open a demo account first and try out a broker's services before opening a live account and depositing money. Also, research the brokers available in your jurisdiction to identify the broker that best meets your investing needs.
Once you have a demo account open, learn how to execute trades on the broker's platform. Most brokers have platforms with numerous features, many of which you may not need to buy or sell stocks.
After familiarizing yourself with the broker's platform, you can then start trading and implementing your investment strategy. The rule is to switch to a live account once your strategey has proven to be consistently profitable on your demo account.
