What can I do if none of my buying orders on eToro could be executed?
Asked 4 years ago
What kind of action can be taken against eToro with this whole situation? I had freed up a ton of cash to buy in the dip - and when it came, none of my orders could be executed, and then the app suddenly crashed. This is totally unacceptable, and I think it was done on purpose by eToro. Clearly, they have liquidity issues as their proposed solution to this 'technical problem' is to raise the minimum deposit amounts. So I wanted to ask, beyond simply boycotting - is there anything we can do to be compensated for this whole situation? This is far worse than the whole robin hood GME situation.

If none of your eToro buys orders could be executed, then you may have to tweak the parameters.
When it doesn't work at first, always try a couple of different strategies and see which one works best for you.
For example, if adding leverage helps but not enough, add more. Or turn off Stop Loss so that profits are maximized before the trade closes.
If this does not help resolve the issue, contact customer service and they will be happy to help you out (as they do with all trades).
