What's the best source of stock market news that you recommend I use?

Asked 4 years ago

Hi peeps I currently use TeleTrader because it has chronological last-minute news collected from all major market events. But I still feel like I'm lagging hours behind and never know what is going on, yet I'm looking everywhere to find out. What or who is your news whisperer while the stock market is open? Any help would be much appreciated.

Many people have expressed their disdain for The Motley Fool, but this source of stock market news and analysis has served me well over the last year, mostly with Birchcliff Energy and a Horizons Psychedelic ETF.

Of the broadcast networks, CNBC is fine for bare-bones news, while Bloomberg is a terrific source for technical analysis.

If you want in-depth information about stocks, Yahoo! Finance gives you all the information you could want.

Surprisingly, Reddit's /r/stocks can be a great place to view if you look hard enough. Not so much in the comments section, but one of the moderators publishes a daily and extensive post about the stock market, key dates and news, and trends.

Ultimately, if you are a long-term investor, it is advisable to comb through the news and determine future trends.
