Due diligence is the process of examining a possible investment (such as stock) or product to confirm all details and ensure that it will fulfill the buyer's expectations.
When conducting due diligence on a stock, you should consider several factors, including company capitalization, sales, valuations, rivals, management, and risks.
Taking the time to research a stock before making a buy can help you make better investment selections that are consistent with your whole investing plan.
