Is Motley Fool worth the subscription?

Would you say Motley Fool is a reliable stock advisor service? If not, what tools can you otherwise recommend?

I'd say that you shouldn't look too much into a stock advisor service, but rather do the research on your own. Too many traders have been disappointed by these stock advisers' suggestions, and the subscription is simply not worth it. I wouldn't even recommend any alternatives, as you're better of investing the yearly subscription into an ETF you like.
If you're persistent on getting a stock advisor service, please do your research and pick one with good user reviews & consistent results. In addition to Motley Fool, you can check out Warrior Trading and Investors Underground. Pilot Trading is also a good option if you're into cryptos.

Motley Fool is a financing and investing advice company that has been around for a long term and I believe they must have been pretty good at it for them to have been around for that long. But here is the thing about seeking investment advises, the performance of your portfolio directly depends on the performance of the company you are getting tips and advise from.
Most people like the idea of depending on experts advise and they don't bother to know what they are doing. For me, I don't think this is the best way to grow or learn on a long term. There is a saying in investing that says, invest in what you know or understand, and that is the best way you can learn and grow. The more you have an understanding about what you are doing, the more you learn and grow in it. With this, you will be able to create a target for yourself and develop a plan on every investment you make.
Having an in depth knowledge about what you want to invest in makes you understand risk and how risk averse you are. Once you get comfortable with your risk, you will then know how to diversify your portfolio on a long term.
And lastly, investing in companies that have been around for a long term gives more confidence on your investment because the companies have been around for long and are performing as well.
