If you're new to investing and you're not sure where to begin, there's plenty of ways to go. The best online brokers for beginners can be different depending on your personal needs and preferences. To help point you in the right direction, I'll give you a couple of platforms to choose from.
On the top, I put eToro as one of the best trading platforms to consider in 2021. First and foremost, this broker is perfect if you are just starting out in the world of online trading because the website is simple to use and accepts small budgets. For example, the minimum deposit is just $200, and you trade from $25 upwards. It offers over 2,400 different stocks, 250+ ETFs, and around 20 cryptocurrencies.
An additional reason why eToro is one of my top choices is that it offers passive investing tools, through its Copy-Portfolio feature, where you can benefit from a professionally-managed investment strategy. This means that a professional at eToro will buy and sell assets on your behalf.
As an alternative, I’d go for Robinhood. Robinhood is a pretty solid choice, as it also allows you to buy stocks on a commission-free basis. In total, the platform offers more than 5,000 stocks – most of which are US-listed. I only dislike this platform because of its lack of international stocks and the January GameStop scandal.
