What are your opinions on my long-term investment holdings for my IRA?
Asked 4 years ago
So, I'm looking to organize my IRA for long-term (forever) holdings with solid companies. I'm researching the materials sector now and the majority happen to be aristocrats and kings, but they seem to be good companies that most people use and show strong history. I came across the following stocks, but want to narrow it down and would appreciate your advice and suggestions: Apd Alb Amcr Lin Nue Ppg Shw Scl Ful Ecolab All advice welcomed!

i quite like shw. for starters, their financials are quite impressive. even with the covid and all, they still managed to pull an fairly good record. l would definitely still have them on. HB Fuller co is also not a bad choice.
you could also look at the bond market to kind of level out the risk you are taking. you could also consider ETFs and such in your portfolio.
also i would strongly advise you consider getting stock from other sectors, just in case the sector you are selecting from is somewhat underperforming.
do make more research, this is not something you should rush.
