Is SPLG a good long-term investment?
Asked 4 years ago
I want to focus on long-term trades and possibly start building up a stock portfolio for retirement. Is SPLG a good ETF to buy and invest in for the next 30 - 40 years?

Yes.
This is an excellent ETF that mirrors the composition and performance of the S&P 500, which has turned into the premier barometer for stock market performance. The previous chief measurement was the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
It pays a quarterly dividend of between 15 and 18 cents a share. This adds up over time and you could even choose to reinvest these dividend payouts.
What's more is that SPLG has a minuscule expense ratio of just 0.03%.
While SPLG is trading at a 52-week high, if you are planning to hold it long-term (30 to 40 years), this investment option is something great to have in your portfolio. It is important to start building positions before it tops $50.
