There are two primary ways to purchase Vanguard index funds.
The first is through mutual funds. The second is through exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
You have many different index funds to choose from, so here is a list of the most popular index funds:
Mutual Funds
- Vanguard 500 Index Fund (VFIAX)
- Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund (VTSAX)
- Vanguard Balanced Index Fund (VBIAX)
- Vanguard Growth Index Fund (VIGAX)
- Total World Stock Index Admiral Shares (VTWAX)
ETFs
- Vanguard Total International Stock ETF (VXUS)
- Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO)
- Vanguard Russell 2000 ETF (VTWO)
- Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets ETF (VWO)
- Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund ETF (VTI)
Indeed, there are so many options to choose from when it comes to investing in Vanguard's extensive list of mutual funds and ETFs that go beyond index funds.
