Buying shares in your chosen index fund is possible through different methods.
Typically, you can open an account directly with the mutual fund company offering the fund.
However, you can also work with a broker and open a brokerage account. This account will allow you to buy and sell shares of the specific index fund you're interested in. When deciding which method works better for you, it pays to look at each method's features and costs.
