Asked 3 years ago
Hi fellow humans, to those who are familiar with the broker, eToro: How do I create and read candlestick charts? Thank you.

You can view candlestick charts on the eToro trading platform. If you use the eToro mobile application, click the stock you wish to trade, just at the top of the screen, you will see four icons lined up side by side, the third one can be used to view candlestick charts. The relationship between the days open, high, low, and close determines the look of the daily candlestick. You can check more on how to read candlestick charts on Investopedia.

Yes, eToro does have candlestick charts on the platform. In fact, it has several types off chart styles to choose from. All you need to do is click the stock you are interested in and view the candlestick charts, as well as the myriad of other tools at your disposal.
When it comes to reading candlestick charts, there are a couple of things to understand:
- Green indicates a jump in price.
- Red means a decline in price.
- The tips (top and bottom) of each vertical line represent the highest and lowest points the asset has touched during the timespan you have selected (ten minutes, one hour, one day, or one week).
Now, eToro offers its users a new program called ProCharts. This is a comparative tool for technical analysis, allowing traders to make the best and most informed decisions about what stocks to buy and sell. It is an easy-to-use function that can be altered with a couple of clicks.
Here is a step-by-step breakdown of what to do:
- Visit your Watchlist or search through the list of securities.
- Select a mini-chart.
- Begin exploring, comparing, and customizing your chart layouts.
Based on your question, that last part is what you're looking for. You can personalize each chart to your liking and change it any time by searching for and clicking on another ticker.
