Is there a way to invest only 5£?
Asked 3 years ago
For now, I have 5£ in my bank account, can I invest that 5£ or does it need to be more? I know I won't earn 5000£ from 5£ overnight, but I want to try for fun. Are there any recommended apps on UK platforms to invest 5£? I like the look of Webull, is it trustworthy and can I invest as little as 5£ with it?

Yes, you can invest 5£ in the stock market.
There are various avenues you can explore with a few pounds in your wallet.
The first is by searching for a zero-commission trading platform so you do not waste your investment on fees. In the United Kingdom, the most popular platform that compares to Robinhood is 212Trading, although your options will be limited.
The second is by finding penny stocks, which are investment securities that trade below $5.
The final measure you can employ is by utilizing fractional share trading so you can invest in Amazon, Tesla Motors, or Walmart with your 5£.

What's your risk appetite? Do you want to invest in penny stocks, which can be risky but offer high rewards for those willing to take the chance?
Or would a more traditional investment like Robinhood or Stash make more sense with low fees and stable returns over time?
Robinhood is a great app to invest in penny stocks. It has an easy interface and lets you easily keep track of your investments, all without any fees or commissions associated with other sites, as Fidelity Investing does!
The $40 you can invest on Robinhood is enough for you to get up close to 600% return within less than two weeks - that sounds like pretty good motivation, if nothing else.
I know what some people might be thinking at this point:
Hey, wait just one minute here; isn't risking everything by playing around with low-priced stock possible? Yes, indeed-- there are risks involved when investing anywhere but especially so when purchasing shares.

With even little money, you can invest in the stock market, but the share would be fractional. For such a minimal investment, you would have to make sure about one thing that you won't have to pay any additional fees like most investment platforms charge. You can have a fractional share of many big companies like Lloyds Banking Group, Tesla Motors, NextEra Energy, Inc, and many more.
