Is day trading a profitable trading strategy?

Yes, many people are involved in day trading, but just as many people lose money participating in this trading practice. Therefore, the question of whether day trading is profitable is relative.

While it can be a profitable tactic, you do risk losing a lot of cash if you are not seasoned, you are too emotional, and you invest more than you can afford to lose.

If you are interested in day trading, you are better off starting small and then working your way up to higher amounts.
