When investing in any asset class, the general rule is "buy low, sell high." But the strategy for investing in dividend stocks is slightly different.

Instead of looking for the next Microsoft, Amazon, or trying to follow stocks based on a wave of good news, the trick is to buy in stable and large companies with a history of paying dividends.

It's even better to find companies that steadily increase their payouts over several years.

Do all platforms allow dividend stock?

The best brokers for dividend investing are Vanguard, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Ally Invest, Robinhood, TD Ameritrade, ETRADE, and Pubic.

How do you set up a dividend stock to pay you?

You get paid automatically for the shares that you own. Most pay quarterly, but some pay monthly. You have to purchase the stock before the ex-dividend date to qualify for the next payout.

The first thing you have to do is find a stock or exchange-traded fund (ETF) that pays dividends to shareholders.

Many publicly traded companies and investment funds offer a monthly or quarterly dividend, which is passive income you can make by simply holding a stock.

When you are trading with Webull, the money is automatically added to your account balance on the scheduled payout date that is established by the company or fund you are invested in.

Whether you are want to engage in dividend scalping (buying a stock before the ex-dividend date) or you want to participate in a DRIP (dividend reinvestment program), you will realize that this is the best course of action to take for long-term investors.

So, find dividend stocks, pick ones that have a strong track record of payouts and increases, and enjoy the additional funds!
