How does copy trade work n eToro?
Asked 4 years ago
Couldn't eToro do a bit better job regarding their copy portfolio communication? I saw 3 different portfolio rebalancing messages, all the same; just cut and paste with very few changes. But there is no mention of how to add money or anything of that sort. How and when should I add money to copy trade on eToro? I would also like to know if you invest in a copy portfolio at a random time and whether you make the purchase immediately or once a day. Thanks

Here is a step-by-step breakdown of how to copy trade on the eToro trading platform:
- Open an eToro account.
- Select the user you would like to copy.
- Write the amount you would like to place on an investment.
- Hit "COPY."
You start or stop copying another investor at any point. You can also employ stop / loss for the copy and add or erase funds. The trades take place almost immediately after copying the trade.
Be sure you have the minimum amount to copy a trade, which is $200. You also need a minimum amount for each copied position of $1. Aside from that, there is no additional charge to copy a trader.
