Why does the money I funded to eToro not appear in my account?

On the 24th of Jan 2021, I opened an account with eToro and funded it with $1000. To this date, the money has not appeared in my account. I have written to eToro 6 times, and I received an email each time to say my issue has been resolved, which it has not. I have just emailed the Financial Ombudsman to get some answers. I'm very very unhappy guys. Maybe you guys can help me out?

It has been more than six months since you opened the account and funded it with $1,000 and you still have not seen the money?
That is highly strange.
Generally, it takes up to five business days to process any transfer requests. Deposits through debit cards and online banking are instant, while wire transfers can take between four and seven business days.
You will need to contact eToro by phone to understand what is going on. It would also be a wise decision to get in touch with your bank because perhaps there might have been an issue regarding the transfer.
And, yes, contacting your financial ombudsman was also a wise step.
