Does the demo account on Easymarkets have a spread?
Asked 3 years ago
I'm currently using the Webull platform, but I want to give Easymarkets' demo account a try. I've grown used to working with fixed spreads, and I don't think I would be able to go without them. This leads to my question: Does Easymarrkets' demo account have a spreads to work with? For those already using Easymarkets: How has your trading experience been?

Easymarkets is an easy to use and ideal trading platform for starters. Before starting with their real VIP account, it is better to try out the demo account, especially if you are a novice in this field. The demo account of Easymarkets comes with £10000 virtual amount, and it also has a spread to use.

Yes, it does, and there are two types of spreads: fixed and variable.
Fixed Spread: This spread is a constant value for all buyers and sellers. Buyers can be quoted a guaranteed price in advance to exchange with the seller, with certainty that they will not incur higher costs than anticipated.
Fixed spreads lower the risk of trading because traders know what they will be charged before the trade takes place; there is no need for both parties to estimate what will happen - it's already predetermined.
They also make exchanges easier by reducing the possibility that traders do not anticipate either side (buyer or seller) experiencing fluctuations such as currency changes or interest rates.
Variable Spreads: Unlike fixed spreads, variable ones fluctuate throughout the day. They do not have a fixed value and cannot be determined until the trade takes place.
Variable spreads are considered less risky for traders since they can lower or increase at any time without prior notice to traders looking to buy or sell. Lack of certainty in this spread allows for market fluctuations without the costs of a trader being affected.
It also gives traders a competitive edge as they can trade using a variable spread and adjust their trading styles depending on what the market provides.
