Is there a way to avoid rollover fees?
Asked 4 years ago
Hello, I have a 401(k) account, and I've been paying exorbitant fees. So my question to you is: How do you avoid rollover fees? Is it possible? If not, I am considering rolling over my 401(k) to an IRA account. Would I have to pay any penalties or fees?

When you move your 401(k) into a new tax-advantaged retirement account, there is generally no cost associated with the transfer.
Your new account's fees for services such as balance transfers and cash advances may be higher than those on your old account.
To lower costs, many people convert a 401(k) to an IRA. This is frequently the method to go to lower charges.
