How long do you have to cover a margin call?

Hi, I started trading forex and wish to learn a few things before getting into margin calls. How long would I have to meet a margin call? Does it differ per broker, or are they all the same? What does it take to satisfy a cover call? I hope someone can help. Thanks!

The broker will usually allow two to five days to respond to the call. The calls of brokers are generally dependent on the account's market close value since various financial regulations demand an end-of-day valuation of customers' accounts. Most brokers' "close" now is 4 p.m., Eastern time.
