If you rollover a 401K into an IRA, does it count as a year's contribution?

Asked 4 years ago

How will a large rollover into Roth IRA affect my retirement plan, and would it count as a year's worth contribution?

If you want to transfer a 401(k) to an individual IRA account, some rules to follow.

The money must be in the IRA account within 60 days.

Usually, there are no taxes, and you can use the money you had in your 401(K). However, you can't withdraw it, especially if you're younger.
