Are Wealthsimple trades instant?

If I sell a security in my personal account on Wealthsimple, are the trading proceeds immediately available towards a different purchase, or do I have to wait for settlement day? If I have to wait, how long can I expect the transaction to take to settle? TIA

Yes, as soon as you sell a security, the funds are available almost immediately. Instant Wealthsimple trades are executed within moments, allowing you to use this money to begin investing in another stock or exchange-traded fund (ETF) or withdraw to your bank account.
It should be noted that some tickers might take a couple of minutes to be settled based on the exchange or country. However, for the most part, nearly everything is fast and easy on Wealthsimple.
