Is Questrade's QuestMortgage service good?

For Canadian residents, Questrade is certainly one of the best platforms to invest if not the best. And now they have Questrade Mortgage. But it is not as good as their trading platform, especially now. Their rates are manageable, but their customer service isn't very good. In short, there are better alternatives in the market.

It should be noted that Questrade and QuestMortgage are two different entities, with the latter functioning as an online mortgage service. Suffice it to say, you will not be buying and selling stocks on QuestMortgage.

From many of the reviews, the only positive aspect of the QuestMortgage service is the user interface.

Aside from that, there are not too many positives. For example, it offers a five-year fixed mortgage of 1.99%. However, in today's market, you can receive a five-year fixed rate of 1.59% for purchases. Or, if you are transferring homes, you can get your hands on a five-year fixed rate of 1.84%.
