I'm looking into dividend stocks, and it looks like a good and profitable way to go. Which are the best dividend-paying companies to invest in?

If you're after regular income, dividend stocks may be an excellent choice.

Some of the top ones are:

  1. Target: Digital sales have given Target an edge over most companies, with last year's digital sales rising 155%.
  2. JPMorgan & Chase Co.: Although it wasn't a good year for banks, patient investors can invest in JPMorgan & Chase Co. and wait for a bounce-back.
  3. Discover Financial Services: Of the four biggest credit card companies, DFS is the smallest. However, it pays the highest dividend (2.1%).
  4. Coca-Cola: Shareholders of Coca-Cola have enjoyed increasing dividends over the past 59 years. Except for sodas, the beverage giant also has brands like Dasani in its portfolio.
  5. Procter & Gamble: For 64 years, this firm has been increasing its dividends to shareholders.
  6. Johnson&Johnson: This blue-chip stock was only slightly affected by the pandemic this year. Its other divisions, like the consumer one, are still doing well.
