Does TradingView provide real-time data?

Asked 3 years ago

I have a live broker account, and I'm looking for a way to watch the stock and get access to stock charts, etc. I'm leaning towards TradingView, but I'm not sure if they provide real-time data? Do they? If so, how do I link my broker account to Tradeview?

TradingView does provide real-time data for free whenever it is allowed to do so, using CME Exchange information. But some data do go through a delay because of exchange regulations. As a result, TradingView does offer its users premium products / services to access the numbers in real-time.

According to the company, it does not make money from these charges, but, based on exchange regulations, TradingView collects these payments and returns to them to the exchange.

Here is a hack on how you can integrate your broker to TradingView through its API:

  • Log in to your TradingView account.
  • Visit TradingView.com/chart.
  • Open the "Trading Panel."
  • Choose your broker and log in using a live or demo account.

It should be noted that it currently supports these brokers:

  • TradeStation
  • OANDA
  • FOREXcom
  • FXCM
  • Alpaca
  • Gemini
  • AMP
  • iBroker
  • Saxo
  • Tradovate
  • HitBTC
  • WH Selfinvest
  • Alor
  • IronBeam
  • Tiger Brokers
  • Capitalcom
  • Currencycom
  • Chaka
  • Tickmill
