Will Bitcoin crash again like it did in 2018?
Asked 4 years ago
Anyone open to having a conversation about Bitcoin? Im not looking to have someone sell me their services. just looking to learn and maybe start investing a bit into it. I really don't get it, but I see huge potential and know people that have made bank with it.

While bitcoin prices have leveled off and the enormous volatility has stabilized, it does feel like another big crash is lurking in the shadows of the crypto market.
The big reason? China.
From regulations to bans on mining, the Chinese government is playing a big role in bitcoin prices right now. Now that the digital yuan is being rolled out, perhaps Beijing does not want any competing digital currencies. This means, unfortunately, a ban.
That said, the market is completely different today than it was in 2018. For one thing, Wall Street is extremely bullish on bitcoin and ethereum. The financial titans are in the process of launching bitcoin-related exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and many of them have launched crypto divisions.
So, perhaps another slide is in the making after new regulations are announced either by China or the U.S. But it might not be as severe due to the players now involved in the crypto realm.
