For beginners, Betterment is a fantastic Robo-advisor with reasonable expenses, excellent resources, and tax strategies.
Starting with a minimum deposit of $0, Betterment automatic investing starts at an annual fee of 0.25% of your account balance. There is no cost to open an account or any required initial deposit. All balances are rebalanced automatically, tax loss harvesting is provided, and financial counselors are accessible.
Acorns is focused on young investors who have trouble saving. When you purchase with the app, it automatically rounds up and invests your spare change. Accounts are available for a fee of $3 per month or less. There is no minimum deposit required to establish an account.
